Through monthly visits, Survival Specialists\u00a0offer emotional and social support for both the mother\u00a0and the child. The one-on-one time allows for more\u00a0individualized attention and provides an extra measure\u00a0of personal connection and accountability. During these\u00a0visits, the specialists check the home environment for\u00a0any risks or dangers. They offer additional training in\u00a0any areas the mothers may need, from breastfeeding\u00a0best practices to parenting skill review. They also lead\u00a0the mothers through Bible studies, encouraging church\u00a0attendance and involvement.
